I shouldn't be doing this to Tolkein's characters.

No offense meant anon, but IDG this attitude. I've definitely seen it now and then on tumblr, too; people saying "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO TOLKIEN'S CHARACTERS?!"

They're just characters, like every other character who ever existed. Tolkien was just a man, even if a particularly well loved one. Don't get me wrong, I know that the universe and the characters and the story are special to people; they are to me to, very much so!

But...it doesn't matter. If you want to read fanfic it isn't going to ruin someone else's experience. Or shouldn't anyway, and you can't be responsible for it if it does.

...That said, yea, I'm digging the kink meme too, anon. Fanfiction.net, Ao3 and tumblr all have fic too, and it's been glorious to see the 'birth' of the fandom.
