I...sorta do this?

Like, I have a lot of geeky fandom friends...but they're all involved in the fandoms and even the types of fandoms I'm not in. Most of them play RP Card games (i.e. Magic, YuGiOh, ect.) and video games and are in the anime and manga type fandoms, whereas I'm in TV show, book, and movie fandoms most of them are only peripherally aware of. These two sides of fandom have very different cultures and terminologies and attitudes attached to them...but they are both still "fandom". So they explain everything to me, but I already understand about half of it - they like to talk about it, so I let them keep talking. :)

Don't feel too bad about this, OP.
