your situation sounds extremely similar to mine, right down to your parents!

firstly i'd like to say, if you aren't experiencing problems/issues/hardship as a result of your behaviour, there is nothing wrong with you and nothing you need to feel anxious about or 'fix'

from what i know of BPD, it's definitely one of those things where if you had it you'd KNOW for sure...it's a pretty debilitating disorder, and though it can be managed and not all cases are 'severe', no one gets diagnosed with BPD simply by 'thinking' they may have it

i don't know how it works in america, but in my country my first step would be a chat with the family doctor who, if deemed necessary, would refer me to the right practitioner for my particular needs

don't fret! it sounds like it's something which seriously concerns you, so stay away from the self-diagnosis and try to get in to see a therapist* (or the equivalent of what a therapist is called in your country)
