It depends. My family is usually around $15-30 depending on the gift and the person. Lately my friends and I have been doing one Secret Santa around $20-25 instead of us getting a everyone (8-10 people) a gift, even if they were small inexpensive things.

A few years ago however I ended up making huge photo albums for some friends who I'd known 10 years (+1 for me, and my mom wanted one). The prints alone were over $90. The albums were on sale but still they were large and there were 5 of them. It was a lot work assembling them and writing the captions, but omg it's my favorite thing I've ever given anyone ever. Their faces were PRICELESS. :D
