19. I'm a male feminist, but... how can fandom be misogynist when it's dominated by a female population?? I mean, I know some women can also be idiotic sexists towards their own gender, but I doubt that occurs to such a wide extent that you could call all of fandom misogynist. And is that comment real? Because I'd be surprised if whoever they were replying to was actually serious... if they were, I could understand being offended by it, but the reaction is still pretty bitchy. Ugh condescending smiley faces.

20. I don't understand why some secrets include the phrase "I'm proud." IF YOU'RE PROUD THEN WHY IS IT A SECRET

I saw it in response to a comment someone else made (which I kinda did find weird, the whole like VAGINA = WUSS thing), but yeah, both quoted comment and actual comment were real.

yeah but.. a lot of the women in fandom are misogynistic, or at least say things misogynists say.. it's baffling but true. do you think men are the only ones going "EWWW HET" or "THAT FEMALE LEAD IS A WHORESLUT"?
I don't care to waste time going "WHY DOESNT FANDOM STOP BEING LIKE THAT BAWWW" but to deny it happens.. well.. i can't deny it!

Yeah, I see women say things like that too, but for every one woman who makes a sexist comment, I usually see twenty more jump down her throat about how sexist it is. It probably depends on what fandoms you're in and where you hang out, though. *shrug*

yeah, that is true. there are a lot of people in fandom who aren't completely horrible XD but i'm just saying, women are just as capable of that kind of thing as men. sometimes moreso, because a lot of people think they can put down a whole gender or race or age group because they're part of it and can get away with it. i do it too, facetiously x3 but it's not right to genuinely think you can hate on women and think it's ok because you're a girl.
