She and Marion (from Raiders of the Lost Ark) are probably the best female leads I've seen in action movies. Mainly because they've got actual goddamn personalities that aren't defined solely on their ability to kick ass or make out with the hero. There needs to be more of that breed of heroine around.

Honestly, I'm just as sick as everyone else of the Sakura/Orihime/Misa (especially, since I like her, but whatever)/various-other-female-character bashing, but you know what? I tend to stay away from those sides of fandom. Jesus, people, grow a fucking brain.
