The level of entitlement on both sides of this argument is unreal sometimes. No, nobody owes anybody anything. We all get that by now, or should assuming we're adults (which is questionable at times, sure). But the definition of constructive crit to some people is so far out of whack, it's ridiculous.

No, "OMG THIS SHIP IS GROSS!" is not constructive. No, "EW THAT KINK IS GROSS WHY WOULD YOU WRITE THAT?" is not constructive. Screaming that you didn't get exactly what you wanted from a fic is not constructive.
