Yeah - that's it, that tends to be my position at the end of the day. It's not perfect, but it's done. And I am completely fine with that and will happily engage with crit, especially if it helps show me what feelings I stirred up this time or if it helps me make the next time even better.

So I am really, really sad at all the people who hold back because crit isn't ~nice~ and might be ~upsetting~.

I hold back because I don't think my opinion matters to the author. Or at least it shouldn't.

Me, I post knowing full well my work sucks. Who likes it, great. Who doesn't, tough. I'm not looking to improve, so criticism is about as useful to me as a terrycloth umbrella.
