Exactly - everything they do on the show is basically in line with them being good people deep down, not any sort of undying passionate love. Derek/Jackson, I can see. Scott/Isaac, I can see (since Scott specifically states that he cares about Isaac, and has been teaching him some werewolfy ropes). Sterek? Unfortunately, not so much, unless we start getting something like Stiles hanging out with Derek due to proximity and then realizing they have things in common. I think they could do it, but there's not much to build on as of right now.
