Dear god, if you're upset IN FANDOM, never leave it. You do realize that fandom (the fanfic side of it) is one of the most progressive social spaces anywhere regarding rape and victim blaming? Primarily in that it is generally accepted as an actual issue with real and meaningful effects.

I know, I know, it seems so terrible! But JFC, read the comments section on any Cracked article that even so much as hints that men might be slightly entitled if they think they deserve women. Try a gamer forum about Batman Arkham City. Read news articles about raped women--see how they frame it in terms of what SHE was doing? The Delhi case is a great example. Every damn article points out that she was traveling with a male companion, not out after midnight, and in all respects, undeserving of rape. What if she hadn't been? Would she have made international news as a victim?

...Also, you're an asshole, for all the reasons people have explained above.
