This is only vaguely related but every time I read The Picture of Dorian Gray I kind of die a little inside because poor Basil is like the only guy in the book who does absolutely nothing wrong and look what that gets him.

Which doesn't sound related but I watched the 2009 movie version of this recently and while I knew they'd put in a Basil/Dorian kiss, I had no idea about the next ~30 seconds after that. Cue me turned on and slightly mortified that my dad is sitting next to me. Granted, the rest of the movie was a little mortifying to watch with one's parents, but my dad is an alien from the 1950s sometimes.

Lol, I feel your pain. The first time I watched Velvet Goldmine I decided to watch it with my mom, not knowing just how explicit it was. I probably should have guessed, given the subject matter, but I was 17 at the time, so I'm using that as an excuse.
