That artwork.

That. Artwork.

I just stared at this pic for a few minutes with my mouth open in awestruck, fascinated horror, trying to figure out what kind of insane troll logic the artist and editor were using to delude themselves into thinking that artwork was remotely acceptable to put into a published work. There isn't even some kind of "Buffness Rulez!" or titillation factor to explain it. Just...wat.

Marvel's been using this artist for a long time -- since 2003 at least.

And he got his start on DC, with Impulse, long before that. He's pretty popular, despite the number of haters

(Disclaimer: I love his art. And his book with Jenkins, Fairy Quest, is amazing IMO.)
