It shouldn't matter what gender or sexuality you are. Why anyone would feel the need to clarify those things baffles me.
Overall I like the drawing, but there IS something iffy about it. Maybe the legs? IDK.

I dunno... I suspect a little of it is YMMV, but she looks like she's curving at the hips, rather than bending, and that makes me think of, like, a macaroni noodle or something. The expressions are great and the rest of it looks fine but just that one part....
ETA: Maybe the reason they're clarifying is because either a) someone they know might be reading it (unlikely), or more easily b) they're young and immature and it's the equivalent of two guys admiring another dude's abs and then telling each other "no homo!" however imperfect that analogy is.

Also, it randomly is bugging me that the shading on Korra's face is really smooth, but on her arm, it's much rougher.
