I'd follow the above anon's advice as soon as possible, because -- and I hate to be so cynical -- the longer you let the issue slide, the more likely it will be that you'll never see the game again. I know from personal experience! The people who still have my games (I hope) are normally kind and conscientious, but it kept on slipping their minds to return the discs, so in the end they never returned them at all. Your friend just needs a reminder, that's all.

Definitely this. There's definitely a point, at borrowing something, where you just kind of forget that you have it and that it's borrowed and it needs to be given back, and also where it just becomes so far in the past that it almost becomes weird to give it back. I've been on both ends of this - I still have some things that I borrowed back in the day, I've lost some things for good that I loaned away - and it doesn't bother me much, but yeah, just give a quick, light, low-pressure sort of a poke.
