It's okay if it's not your cuppa, but not everyone prefers zingy one-liners to longer secrets.

For real. Sometimes a secret requires a long explanation. Especially here, where everyone is so ready to jump to conclusions and judge the OP's entire life based on a few lines of text on an image. The secret maker has one chance to get their intentions out, and if it gets misinterpreted and the members of this comm declare the OP impish, not admirable (obvious fandom ref.), there'll just be a ton of unhelpful comments.

Eh, "I participate in fandoms that have a lot of incest in them because I have a Brother/Sister kink and am looking for a girlfriend," could have done the trick. Maybe an "and no, I would never be interested in my own siblings" added in. The bits on how the regular dating sites for that sort of thing are full of Totally!Not!Like!Him creeps and how young he was when he first got into that sort of thing, and how very alone he feels, etc. are pretty unnecessary.

Or, rather, they'd be unnecessary if this was an actual secret and not him posting a dating/friends ad, hence his urge to include his bio and thoughts on yaoi. So when you really think about it, his breaking the implied rule on TL;DR is justified by his breaking the actual rule of "you must post a secret." But, at the end of it all, the post is unique enough that people aren't complaining. Much.

Well, that's why people get editors- second set of eyes to read and trim their thoughts. I'm not too eager to make any "final call" on the OP because the last line mentioned being lonely, so who knows where his head was when he submitted.

This was actually a well-written, not-ugly-or-hard-to-read secret (this, and the one above it). Some people like those. If you don't, scroll by.

I don't think it's well-written. It could have been cut down (instead of a long spiel about how he thought of the people on dating sites, he could have simply said he'd no luck there, for example) , it's also hard to read due to its rather small font and large paragraphs, people with bad eyes or difficulty reading would have trouble. The font isn't particularly inspiring.

I'm not sure why you have to point out how you (and these others) like it and imply someone who wants to be interested in what the Secret Maker has to say but are held back because they find the reading hard are simply being picky.

I guess it all comes down to perception? But you (or another anon?) said "tl;dr" and I said I didn't agree? I don't know why you have an issue with that? (This could get really circular lol)
