Barry Lyndon (it's a Stanley Kubrick movie but a lot of people haven't heard of it)

Liquid Sky (sort of a good bad movie but still I loved it)

All of the Antoine Doinel movies that aren't The 400 Blows, all of those movies are my absolute favorite but most people have only seen the first one (Les Quatres Cents Coup is famous for a reason though)

Eastern Promises (Viggo Mortensen as a Russian gangster and it's David Cronenberg geez people come on)

Ravenous (Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle and CANNIBALISM and it's loosely based on the Donner Party incident and it's funny)

A lot of old-fashioned instruments and the writers used some really unique ways of getting the 'tone' they wanted, like having local, unskilled people play instruments they weren't familiar with. I really like all of it.
