No movie (or touring production - the poor man's Broadway) can ever touch what that musical was on Broadway or the West End. I won't see it because it's an inferior production, yet it's a production that the masses can access, so there you go.

Just thought you might like to know...Samantha Barks, who plays Éponine in the film did also play Éponine for the West End debut at the Queen's Theatre.

Also, the last touring cast of Les Mis had John Owen Jones on it. Say what you want about the new orchestrations but that's pure quality.
