This is me with Game of Thrones. "I suppose it's good," I'll say through gritted teeth and with a twitchy eye, but you'd honestly have to pay me to crack open the book or watch the show.

Same here, at least where the show is concerned. I haven't read the books, so I can't really speak to those.

Objectively, I can say that it does a decent job telling a pretty intricate story, there are good effects, it has some talented actors, and the costumes and settings are great. But I just really cannot make myself enjoy it because I don't care enough about any of the characters, and the fact that it's just a lot of awful people doing awful things isn't something I enjoy watching.
