I agree with you. If anyone acted like that in a workplace, they'd get reported to HR. If they acted that way towards people in real life, they'd soon find themselves being shunned (except by morons with the same attitude).

Haha, so true. I remember going to see Love Actually with a friend who was English, and then spending a huuuge amount of time afterwards bitching about what they were trying to pass off as Wisconsin in that movie. Then she started talking about the awful, stereotypical posh Brit characters in a lot of American media and we just basically spent the whole night talking about different American and British regional accents. It was good fun.

(Also, everyone from America is either from Texas or New York. Foreign TV and movies have taught me this. *nods*)

I know! He's been so fantastic in everything I've seen him in--and I don't think I've seen him play the exact same type of role, either, so he seems to be pretty versatile on top of it. I really, really hope this translates into him getting more roles in popular media.

Fire Emblem is definitely problematic, but he is such a great character -- and isn't always the butt of every joke-- that I still love him.

I like him, but I do sort of wish that they'd do more like, say...talk about how having his own business and not having to worry about sponsors as much effects him as a hero. From what I've seen so far that was mostly just mentioned briefly as an aside a few times and then it was back to him creeping out Kotetsu and flirting with Barnaby again. IDK, does he get more fleshed out later?
