Am I seriously the ONLY one who thinks OP is trollin'? The secret starts out sounding as if women who only read slash are rare, and then pulls out a stereotype of a self-hating misogynist slash fan.

I have no idea if I'd love slash so much if I liked the way my female body looked and had sucessful relationships with men. I have know way of knowing that at this point in my life. Slash has been a wonderful refuge and I love the thought of two hot men together. My dislike of my own body has unfortunately carried over to not liking to read about unattractive men having sex either. It makes me feel almost as bad as reading about an attractive woman having sex and the jealousy it inspires. I'm fucked up, I know.

I dunno, it could be a troll, but this is an attitude that a lot of people have. Just look at the sheer number of comments upthread going "this is me."

I don't think so. It seems too subtle for trolling, and I've heard of other people with the same body hate issues.

Nope, I immediately thought it was a troll. It just too perfectly fits what all slash haters claim. But now I'm reading all these other anons who can relate.

I understand how and why this can be true, but it's still hard hearing confirmation of what haters mock slash fandom for. And above all, it makes me even more furious that they can be so insensitive about a painful issue.
