Ha, me too. But I feel the only way to get recced is to write ships that people want to read about in larger Yuletide fandoms and/or not write "Yuletide gen."

I've been involved with yuletide from the beginning and it's always been this way. they say they encourage obscure fics. they don't. I can't tell you of one fic I've written for truly obscure fandoms that has ever been recc'd, even though anyone who's read it has said it was fabulous. it's a fandom hardly anyone has heard of and so it doesn't get recc'd.

but you can be the same thirty fics for the same large fandoms or crackass media bullshit fandoms get recc'd until they're driven in the ground.

Besides the rec issue, I get kind of tired of the constant "How can I get my large fandom into Yuletide?" game. For fuck's sake, you already have a bunch of fic, even if you think it all sucks. Meanwhile I'm trying to nominate fandoms with no fic whatsoever because I'd really love to see some...
