it's ok, op. if you were alone, there would be more interest in gen. most fandoms are pairing oriented.

Seriously. I saw the secret and thought, "Um, isn't that 90% of fandom?"

it is! but at the same time, i feel like there's also a lot of derision for shippers anyway. being a shippy person in fandom may be normal, but it's not ~kewl. one usually pretends to be immensely interested X or Z aspect of the source material more than their otp for some street cred & stuff.
