Re: The joys of overthinking things

[personal profile] ryttu3k 2013-01-03 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
By way of example, some of my overthinking things:

- Working out the geological changes required to turn Ocarina of Time-era Hyrule into Twilight Princess-era Hyrule (it involves tectonic activity and aridification),

- Analysisng the background, motives, and social interaction for a character in Skyward Sword,

- Attempting to work out the gigantic headache that is time travel in the Zelda series,

- Outlining the diets and food production of both the Zeldaverse and the Pokemonverse, and

- Overthinking to the point of fridge horror when you realise that in Pokemon Black and White 2, you can meet trainers with high-levelled (60+) Pokemon that evolve via happiness, and the realisation that either they're deliberately keeping their Pokemon from evolving (or don't want to evolve, which is also a possibility, admittedly), or they're unhappy despite the multiple wins required to be that highly-levelled, which indicates they could possibly be mistreated.
