My biggest pet peeve regarding her character is that she was so easily forgiven for her betrayal, especially since they held Luke's (accidental) fuck-up over his head for a long time. And Anise had the nerve to chew him out for it, while knowing that she was betraying them the whole time (I think? It's been years since I played this game and JRPG's tend to blur over time in my head).

I like Anise myself, but everyone abandoning Luke made me have to switch off the game and relax for a while, because that made me rage HARD.

I don't blame Anise herself too much for everyone forgiving her much more easily, though. It's everyone else that forgave her yet were all "fuck you, Luke" that really pisses me off about the situation.

Wow I seriously thought I was the only one who felt this way and stopped playing after that. Like f'real Luke was dumb as hell but you could tell that it was an honest accident, that he was sorry, and that he genuinely wanted to change. The fact that they were so rude and upset for SO LONG turned me away from the game.

I wrote a whoooooole tl;dr rant on that in my LJ when I got to that point, because I seriously just needed to vent. S'like, yeah, Luke can be a real butthead, but dudes, he's frigging ignorant of the world, hates taking other people's lives, yet just...accidentally killed a whole lotta people, all for the one person he really looked up to and trusted who'd just completely stabbed him in the back for it, plus y'know, cloning blues, and then everyone just blames everything on him and abandons him. Seriously, that poor kid. So much rage at everyone else.

Yes This is me exactly. I so POed at the rest of the characters because of that for a while.

Yeah, this is pretty much the main reason why I dislike Anise. Anise especially told Luke that he should DIE, and yet she intentionally killed far more people than Luke did unintentionally.
