Re: remixes/covers that are better than the original

I like Tori Amos's cover of " '97 Bonnie and Clyde" better than Eminem's original. The lyrics are so chilling and her singing style and the music she uses matches the terror the lyrics instead of masking them as his do (which is arguably a valid choice as well, concealing what's really happening within this happy sounding song).

I like the Guns N Roses version of "Knocking on Heaven's Door" better than Dylan's (although Dylan's version is awesome).

I like pretty much every cover of "Hallelujah" ever, but the Jeff Buckley one has the special place in my heart.

I adore Ryan Adams and Elton John's duet of "Tiny Dancer" which is not the same as a cover, but still. So good.
