Sometimes! I never really thought of the specific example in secret 10 (though I suspect no for Saruman because Maia can do whatever the hell they want). For Lord of the Rings, though, I've always wondered about the orcs, and the logistics of feeding and housing them in Mordor. I maintain that if Sauron had won, he would probably expend a lot of manpower building apartment buildings for all his servants, because damn he has a lot.

But yeah, analyzing things is fun! And I enjoy talking about it.
