Yes, three year olds aren't quiet, sophisticated adults, they are little, loud tots. I thought she reminded me of every three year old I know and knew. Which made me go, "Awwwwww," most of the time.

I don't really remember this particular movie, but I often hope that the monsters/villains would kill the annoying kid characters. Especially the ones that constantly make stupid decisions that by all rights should get them maimed in real life. So let's be psychos together, OP.

I do find this a little disturbing considering her voice actress was a real kid at the time.

But yes, kids can be annoying, especially toddlers if you spend any amount of time with them, I wouldn't wish anything bad on the character because of it.

As much as I dislike kids, I don't think that killing off children in a movie that is targeted at that main audience is a particularly good idea.

Eh, I'm not gonna call you psycho, because I think most everyone's seen an annoying character in a movie and been like "Oh just die already!" It doesn't mean you want to go out and slaughter in real life. That being said, Boo's pretty much what kids are like (annoying, noisy, troublesome things, for all that they can be adorable) so if at a future point, you're considering having kids, you should probably keep that in mind.

That's not to say that you shouldn't be a parent (I don't know you, after all) and there's lots of good parents that would agree the Terrible Twos are well-named.

Even ignoring the fact that Boo is, what, three? You're saying that annoying people need to be kidnapped and tortured for their screams.

I didn't particularly want her to stay hooked up to the machine, but she was super annoying.

You can dislike fictional depictions of whatever, but be consistent about it. It's still a FICTIONAL character.

People being a mite hard on you, OP. It's a movie. More than that, a CGI movie. You're not suppressing your desire to chuck the actual voice actress into an actual extractor.

It's like watching a horror film or a Murder She Wrote. The irritating guy always bites it, you just have to wait. This time you got an irritating (in your opinion) wee bundle of kiddiness, but she ended up being the McGuffin.
