I didn't particularly want her to stay hooked up to the machine, but she was super annoying.

Also, fuck all this age-coddling bullshit going on in the comments. If this was an adult or even a teen character, no one would give a single shit.
Even if this was a rape secret, no one would give a single shit.

You can dislike fictional depictions of whatever, but be consistent about it. It's still a FICTIONAL character.
You can't go "OH BUT THIS IS FICTION! STOP JUDGING!!" about older characters, but then make an exception and go "Never be around kids" about this one. Go get your self-conflicted morals examined, you hypocrites.

Agreed.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
eh, fictional or not, children do have (typically) this psychological effect on people

(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
And this is something that I hate about society, in itself.
It needs less thinking with the ovaries, and more thinking with the brain.

protecting the youngest members of the species sounds like sound species preservation instincts to me, I don't know about you

Even if this was a rape secret, no one would give a single shit.

this is the thing that I don't get. if someone had made another one of those "oh no I'm into shota con and I feel dirty about it but not really halp :(" secrets, then we usually get dozens of "it's just harmless fiction involving fictional children! stop kink shaming!" and now when someone confesses that they idly wished that an annoying child character had been killed off to make the movie more enjoyable (to them) we get a whole bunch of people going "omg you monster, never have children. how dare you say such a thing you fucking psycho, get help." Wtf? all they wanted was for a character to go away. they weren't even getting off on some kind of murder fetish or anything (as far as I know). I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOU FANDOM SECRETS, I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND YOU

*shrug* It's made up of lots of different people - all of whom have different opinions. Whose opinion you get also depends on who's there that day.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, you'd still get the High and Mighty crowd who cry 'SHAAAAME!' for that stuff.

Personally, I don't think that OP even hates children, it's a CGI thing, they're not plotting to chuck the actual voice actress down the thingabob whatever it's called, so it's all flailing moral panic, just Fandom Secrets enjoys doing that, regardless of subject.

If this was an adult or even a teen character, no one would give a single shit.

If you're wondering what that whooooshing noise was, it was the sound of the point flying way over your head. Go back and try again, dearest.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh lay off with the condescending as shit "dearest" talk. None of us are your dearest or ever want to be.

Oh look. A condescending remark that has no explanation or argument behind it.

Are you sure that "whoooooshing" noise isn't just empty air escaping from your brain, as opposed to any real kind of thought?

(Anonymous) 2013-01-05 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
I guess because people see no logical reason why you would hate such an innocent character that much? Or how OP could completely miss the point of a kids movie?

I think tone matters to, sometimes people respond more to how a secret comes across in the wording than what it actually says.

Also the people that comment in those threads might not be the same people commenting in this thread.

lol hi OP

Not OP. I even said I didn't want the character to stay hooked up to the machine.
