I think it's because they look so normal at first glance, out of the corner of your eye when you're reading the secret, but then you actually look at them and bam omg they're almost standing on the tips of their toes look at those taut muscles oh

OMG, yes, though I'm having more of a WTF moment about the photoshopping on Rizzoli's stomach.

Now that you mention it, I think the feet have to have been photoshopped too. If you look closely at the foot that the woman on the right is supposed to be standing on, it looks like that's supposed to be an open-toed shoe, and you can just see her toes. Except that from the position of the rest of her foot, there shouldn't be any toes at the tip of that shoe, unless she has some extra joints in her foot that the rest of us don't have.

The shoes on the woman in red are even worse, but since she's not trying to stand up in them it's harder to tell whether there's photoshopping going on or whether she just sort of hung the shoes from her heels during the shoot and didn't worry about where her toes were.
