Harry Potter:

-The Dursleys beating the living daylights out of Harry, as opposed to their more passive-aggressive treatment of him in canon.

-Harry is suddenly heir to Gryffindor, Slytherin, Black, Potter and has a bazillion galleons and has this awesome family ring that makes him a Lord of whatever and goes on a trip to get a super awesome trunk and kickass robes and becomes bffs with the goblins and keeps beating Dumbledore in politics.

-A mix of the point above and "harem fic".

-The Weasleys were using/manipulating/betrayed Harry. Hermione is his one-true-luv because Ginny is now out of the picture? Or something.

-Dumbledore goes a step above from his canon-scheming into outright not giving a shit and being totally remorseless about Harry -- Evil!Dumbledore.

-Voldemort suddenly being a good guy, wtf.

-Veela mates.

fuck, I forgot:

Goddesses and/or "Fate" or "Destiny" or "Death" actually showing up to send Harry back in time or give him a second chance after death. It doesn't fit canon!

Yeah, evil!Dumbledore weirds me out. Like, people just take his canon actions and on this basis interpret him as a complete egotistic asshole (he made Snape kill him, sacrificed Harry et c.).

Sure, his decisions are questionable, but he clearly is NOT written as evil. If you want to write him as an antagonist, it's absolutely fine, but it does make him OOC.

As a villain, yes. As an antagonist, I think it could be done well even if I've never actually seen it.

Shades-of-grey conflicts where everyone is, if not heroic, at least halfway decent and both sides have valid points are awesome when writers manage to pull them off.

Well, actually, I'm lying. I kinda enjoy them in a "lol this sucks so bad it's hilarious" way, but that applies to everything in the Harry Potter for me. I've long since hit that beautiful, hard-to-reach flashpoint of enjoyment in that fandom:

Oh my god that graph is perfect. (I usually bow out of fandoms though, so I haven't reached that last point though. Maybe one day...*single tear from a white dove*)

The second, fourth, and fifth ones crop up together a lot and are sort of my guilty pleasure.

But harem fic and anything with 'mates' (Veela, werewolf, Idc) just really weirds me out.
