(Anonymous) 2013-01-06 02:31 am (UTC)(link)But it depends on how you define kind. Niceness? Thoughtfulness? Sensitivity? Sentimentality? Lack of jerkiness? Or do you mean frequency and deliberateness of their small acts of comfort and compassion? Going by the latter definition, I'd say Five, Eight, Two and Eleven are the openly kind ones, Nine, Six, and One are the closed-off abrasive ones, and Ten, Seven, Three, and Four are the wildly-inconsistent-depending-on-the-person-or-situation ones. But really, in the end they're all the same one guy at different points in his life.

(Anonymous) 2013-01-06 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)'Course, he's a jerk, occasionally a massive jerk, a lot too post-season 5, but that doesn't make the kindness part of him disappear. It just makes him less of a uniformly nice guy. Which kinda describes pretty much every version of the Doctor, come to think of it.
