LOL. Every Doctor has moments of being both spectacularly kind and massively dickish, depending on the situation. Even Six has his moments of niceness. And Eleven...probably averages out to somewhere in the middle of the spread, although he was probably the 2nd or 3rd kindest of them all back in season 5. (Five's always been the kindest, I think. But I haven't read the books or heard the audios so I'm not sure if Eight beats him out -- anyone familiar with the EU willing to give me more on him?)

As someone who's listened to the audios, I'd say Eight definitely had a big kind streak similar to how he acted with Grace (look up the wiki entry on Charley Pollard). I actually think he's kinder than Five, who was always nice but could be really ruthless and destructive if you look at some of his stories more carefully. Then again, Eight wiped out his whole species, so...*shrugs*

But it depends on how you define kind. Niceness? Thoughtfulness? Sensitivity? Sentimentality? Lack of jerkiness? Or do you mean frequency and deliberateness of their small acts of comfort and compassion? Going by the latter definition, I'd say Five, Eight, Two and Eleven are the openly kind ones, Nine, Six, and One are the closed-off abrasive ones, and Ten, Seven, Three, and Four are the wildly-inconsistent-depending-on-the-person-or-situation ones. But really, in the end they're all the same one guy at different points in his life.
