Protip: you're not smarter than the rest of us and you don't get to tell people what to feel. You sure as hell don't get to treat people in this comm like they're kids and you're the only adult and send them breathtakingly patronizing messages like "<3, Adulthood". They could be older than you are.

Also, you don't get to tell people in a FANDOM community to stop caring about TV shows. They wouldn't be posting in a fandom community if they didn't care about TV shows. It kind of defeats the entire point of a fandom community.

Also, OP very likely WANTS people to tell him or her that the show sucks/the show gets better later/he or she isn't alone in disliking the show/yeah the first episode wasn't that great. They wouldn't have posted the secret if they didn't want people to air their own opinions. You're not helping with that.

Everyone step back and stop voicing opinions someone might disagree with. That one long winded anon who's concerned with everyone's feelings showed up.

I'm going to join in and say that while I agree that there is nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to liking/disliking stuff, that little "<3, Adulthood" bit at the end was kind of douchetastic. It's like you made me a nice reasonable sandwich, then took a condescending shit all over it.

NA - I wouldn't have thought twice if anyone else, even an anon, put that "<3, adulthood" in there. I'd have just assumed it was someone in their very early 20s who thinks they're all grown up and doesn't realize that life and maturity are a life long process. And then I'd have moved on to the next comment without thinking about it ever again. But I've only been around here for about a month and you've made so many wanktastic comments and have been so awful to people in so many threads that your intended silly stuff rankles.

In all honesty there's probably a way to block certain posters if you make a dreamwidth account.

DA - I have a DW account and it's possible to block certain people from contacting you directly in your journal or via PM, but their comments in other people's journals and in communities will still show. I don't know if someone who is blocked would be able to reply to a comment that the person who blocked them posted in a community, though. There isn't a greasemonkey script to block users' comments from showing on DW like there is on LJ.

Out of curiosity, why do you post as logged in? I was gone from here for several years and was really surprised not only to see so many people commenting logged in but actually looking down on people who comment anon. But back in 2008(ish? Maybe 2009) it was the exact opposite and all other secrets places I know around the internet are specifically anon.

Honestly? I'm not interested in just being some anonymous jerk who posts things. I'm not interested in making people angry for the sake of making them angry. I'm actually surprised this one caused wank.

I picked a name because the guy who brought me here had one and I wanted him to know what I'd posted.

I only look down on the anons who use anonymity as an excuse to act like an asshole without the limited repercussions a name gets you. Most anons here are just fine.

Seriously, the best thing you can do right now if you want to browse without seeing my comments is to get an account. You wouldn't have to comment with it.
