If a creator is going to participate in social media, they need to take the bad with the good. Not everyone is going to buttpat them, and it's nonsense to expect people not to post their opinions just because the creator might see it. If he does, so what? He's putting his work out there, he needs to expect criticism, even if that crit is 'u suk'. Otherwise, you might as well just keep your efforts to yourself and maybe a couple of your friends.

Exactly. And he's a comics writer so I expect that he's got a pretty thick skin for this kind of argument already. He can talk on his tumblr without following the tag, and he seems entirely capable of using the platform competently to promote his work without getting sucked into drama.
