Now I quite like Firefly (although I certainly don't think it's as amazing as a lot of people do), but it took me about six episodes before I really started actually wanting to watch the next episode. The first episode is definitely the worst, too.

So it might be worth giving it more of a try? It gets more engaging, it's just a matter of whether you can be bothered to put the time in to get there.
