You sound like a poser. I enjoyed shows like Farscape and DS9 and Stargate in their first seasons, and that's why I continued watching them. I'm not going to force myself to sit through something I don't find enjoyable or entertaining juts to gain some sort of nerd-cred, and that doesn'tmake meor anyone else less of a sci-fi fan.

I have way better things to be doing than suffering through entire seasons of shows in the hope something sticks.

Why bother with something which just isn't enjoyable? I can get watching a few episodes maybe to get a feel for it but if after those first few it's just not any good for me there is no point in continuing.

I can imagine Star Wars being 'assigned' on some level actually (though if you watch the episode 4 movie and don't like it, you don't have to continue even then)- but Firefly? Pfft.

Power to the people who love it, rock on, it's a good use of their relaxation time- it isn't to those who dislike it because Firefly just isn't that important to begin with.
