Dear OP,
you are not worthless, he is and he proves it every time he acts like that.

Someday, it's possible your dad will become a frail old man. He'll probably expect you to take care of him because that's what "good daughters" do and it's your duty since "he's faaaamily". (read that in the most whiny voice you can imagine)

If that day comes, I want you to remember this: you don't owe him shit. Sharing DNA does not a relationship make: it's how you treat the people around you. He's making his bed right now, let him lie in it when the time comes.
Life is too short to share it with toxic people one second longer than we have to.

Not op but this is exactly what my dad does. He used to say I'm useless too but stopped doing it about a year ago when his health started failing.
