i mostly liked Firefly but yeah, where the HELL were all the Asian actors? because i sure never saw them on the show.

I would have forgiven a lot of the predictability if Mal had been played by John Cho, Inara and Jayne had been genderswapped, and Simon and River had come from an upper class Chinese family (i.e. been played by actors of East Asian descent).

Though the glorification of prostitution and the casual "whore" insults would have to go as well.
