Same here. Maybe it was something with the POV of the book? I've really enjoyed some of the author's other work. I'm actually kind of curious to read it now.

Middlesex is one of my favorite books. It's so fucking amazing.

I found the book and film pretty similar. The film seemed to focus a little more on Kirsten Dunst's character, from what I can remember.

I liked the film, I think I might try the film.

I like the movie better than the book. It gave the girls a sense of reality outside the limited POV of the novel. Also, great soundtrack.

Maybe the POV is the problem? Narrow POV as the narrator is not everyone's cup of tea.

I love the soundtrack.
