People are allowed to not like their gifts.

It happens. In fact, I got the ugliest purse I have ever seen in my life from someone I love very very much. I smiled and said thank you and me and my mum had a giggle about it later. This woman has terrible, terrible taste and always gets people terrible, terrible gifts. We love her and would never tell her, but it's reached ridiculousness now.

You MUST be friends with my grandmother. This EXACT SAME THING happened to me, oh my god. And she has told me multiple times to tell her if I don't like something (so she won't think I like it and waste her money getting me more of the same), so I thanked her and commented as politely as I could that it wasn't my usual style, and she goes "BUT IT'S SO INTERESTING!"

Sigh. Oh grandma, I do love you.
