I know how to use it but it isn't worth it. I just check a few tags for pictures (tumblr actually began as a photo sharing site which is why communicating on there sucks so bad) and follow a couple people who only like things I like and don't post their boring personal stuff. I know I'm missing out on a lot of fandom-related posts by only checking the tags instead of following blogs but missing those things is preferable to having a dash full of literally hundreds of reblogs of a post I don't care about because the BNFs in my fandoms are having a chat.
