I have both night terrors and nightmares but it's because of PTSD. I knew someone in counseling who was like you (no PTSD but nightmares every night) and they figured out it was because of some sort of salt imbalance they had in their diet and how their body processed it. Maybe talk to a doctor and see if there is something in your environment triggering them? It could be something as simple as the laundry detergent you use or something you eat or drink every day.

I was going to comment in a very similar way. I have PTSD, and that's my reason. I've been told by several mental health providers that nightmares of that frequency aren't typical, and should be discussed with your doctor.
