I'm still just trying to find tumblr accounts for my fandoms. I mean, I can search tags, but I wish there was a designation for personal tumblr or topic tumblr, because I might see a piece of fanart I like, think 'oh hey this tumblr might be a good source for fanart!' and then it's just really someone's personal tumblr where they post one piece of fanart for every twenty random pieces of their life.

I try to find a fuckyeah blog and start from there, because the naming scheme at least helps me out.
