The tumblr defenders themselves instead made it clear enough that "[a signficant proportion of people] that use tumblr is extremely rude,over defensive, jumps to conclusions and can't be bothered to read an entire sentence for meaning", thus rather proving the above point in their own way.

Some fans just wish that entire fandoms hadn't disappeared into the depths of Suck, where we don't wish to follow, because we aren't so willing to settle for Suck.

Why should people bother when it's obvious said set isn't going to get them what they want, and they'll be called 'stuffy, stuck up, rude and stupid' for voicing their opinion on the fact it doesn't do that?
