Seriously. Tons of fandoms that have been dead for months/years on LJ are alive and kicking there, and I'm loving it.

People who 'don't get' tumblr or think it's ~impossible~ to have meaningful conversations there are Doing It Wrong. Tag your shit and it's just like LJ people, except easier to find people who like the same stuff you do.

Until tumblr creates a way to have threaded conversations attached to specific posts, it is not just like LJ. Now if you don't care about that, fine. But a lot of people do. It would, for example, be nearly impossible to have the kind of discussion we're having right here right now and keep track of what everyone's talking about if it was being done on tumblr.

No, we are not "doing it wrong" and it is not 'just like LJ'. You love it, fine. Many don't, and for perfectly good and valid reasons.
