It's weird the stuff you remember from things you read decades ago, isn't it? I remember reading the book where Kristy's family dog died and they sang "Brother Louie" at the funeral... which I always thought was "Louie, Louie" as a kid. I was really confused when I realized that it was a totally different song than the one I thought.

The dog used to howl along when someone sang "Louie Louie," I think. I'm not sure what they sang at his funeral, though.
