Doesn't sound particularly whiny to me. Not only does it suck when people you love tell you that the things you like are stupid, but not being able to talk about fannish things or things that interest you is lonely. Just talking about fandom or other things of interest with people on the Internet can be rather unsatisfying, at least for me.

OMG ME TOO OP.

I'm sad that this series went downhill ever since it moved magazines. And wtf happened with her art style? It started off OK, then became great, then became different and sub-par.

Has there been a big babysitter's club resurgence, lately? Where *Dawn* gets hate? Wasn't she the fun California girl who's dad married Mary Anne's mom? I'm not sure why people would hate her, other than she was popular and from California. And if you leave out the California part, wasn't Stacy just as popular?

But it's been like 20 years since I read any BSC. I mainly just remember that: 1. I hated bossypants Kristen, 2. Claudia had a ton of junkfood hidden throughout her room. 3. One of them was diabetic and always had carrot sticks instead, except for that one time she went off the rails on an M&M binge. 3. There was a super-cool secret passage out of somebody's house (Dawn and Mary Ann, post parent-marriage?).

And sometimes they dated boys, and at one point Jessie learned sign language to better baby sit a deaf girl. And there was a celebrity boy who was not a baby sitter. I remember far too much of this nonsense.

As an adventure game protagonist sometimes it's frustrating when he doesn't pick up obvious clues like the player does, but aside from that he's a very easy character to like. He's naive to a fault because he simply wants the best for everyone and doesn't want to believe others don't feel that way too. It's terribly endearing imo.

Well, if it helps, Meenah isn't even really a villain-- it seems like her ghost army is going to be a major plank of whatever the final plan to take out Lord English is. And who knows, there might be more going on with the Condesce than her just being Lord English's lackey.
