tbh I like DAO, but agree that it's basically a massive fantasy cliche that doesn't bring much that's original to the table. It's pretty, got good gameplay and nice RPG choices, but it's not really anything that's particularly intriguing. in that sense, DA2 is better because it actually does go for an original approach and has better characters. DA2's flaw is how rushed its production was, though.
