It doesn't work, at least not in the way people usually mean by the word, and that's why I love it so much. I like my ships with torn rigging and chipped paint and looking like they've been through every conceivable hell the world can throw at them and really shouldn't even be seaworthy. Because figuring out how and why they're still sailing is the fun part.

I'm kinda the same, except that I like when my OTPs get together after going through heaven and hell. So I understand the sentiment. <3
