Use ctrl +shift + c and type in "testingcheatenabledtrue". Then type in "reset sim FirstName LastName" and that should do the trick. /has had this happen many times before

Thanks! Do I then have to turn off "testingcheats..."? I seem to remember people saying in Sims 2 that if you left it "on" it would majorly bork your system (which is why I've never actually used it for anything before).

Oh, hm. I've never had any issues with leaving it on, but that's with Sims 3? If you're not going to be using it regularly, I'd think it would be fine to just switch it off after you get your sim reset, since there's really no reason to leave it on.

That should read "testingcheatsenabled true" - I forgot the s and the space the first time. Whoops.

And then turning it off would be " false"?

Thanks so much! I'll have to give this a try later on. :)

You're welcome! I hope it helps. If you have trouble with anything, you might check out the wiki entry. There's a link at the bottom for a list of Sims 2 and 3 cheats that might help: http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Testingcheatsenabled
